With Halloween around the corner, I was keen to get to know more about Barbados’ creatures of the night, and how data is collected on them. Tag along with me as I go out in hopes of seeing our fanged, furry, and winged mammalian friends up close - bats!

My adventures in Barbados begin with a visit to a relic mangrove forest to the West of the island, the Holetown Lagoon!

A dwindling number of these ecosystems exist on the highly developed West Coast, and in this debut entry, I dive into their importance.
